You might think I've always been into unique baby gifts. But no.

I bought the typical gifts for new babies like babygrows, blankets, hats, tiny outfits, the whole lot. Then I got tired of my gifts blending in with others, and likely going unused.

I’ve used art as a hobby for as long as I remember. And it wasn’t until I decided to gift my own art that I realised the joy it could bring to parents.

I chatted with new mothers around me, and realised their struggles finding unique baby gifts for other mothers.

That's when I realised, I could use my art to offer a solution.

Creating paintings for children started as a small habit— for a milestone like a birth or a 1st birthday.

This habit turned into a business idea when my niece was born in 2023, the Year of the Rabbit. I painted her a vibrant, pink rabbit for her nursery, and that was the beginning of Colours by Shannon.

Now, this rabbit has evolved into my first collection, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
